Long time Arc'teryx partner in the Alps, Chamonix Experience is a guiding company based at the center of Chamonix Mont-Blanc, just near Aiguille du Midi. Available all year round, the CHAMEX guides are specializing in alpinism, rock climbing, ski touring, ice climbing, off piste skiing and climbs of all alpine routes as Mont-Blanc and Matterhorn.
We are sharing a community space with them near Aiguille du Midi, called the COLAB CHAMEX, where you can get advice, enjoy a coffee and meet the CHAMEX team as well as peruse our latest products in their shop.
Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
Established in 1821, the Chamonix Guides’ Company is the oldest and largest guides’ association in the world. Today, a total of 240 self- employed mountain guides and leaders work with their company. Like their elders, passion and professionalism have shaped and inspired their code of conduct until today, always pushing them towards new alpine adventures worldwide. They perform with respect and humanity, always in search of their clients' satisfaction and their own professional improvement.
Get Prepared
Much of the event will take place in high altitude areas around Mont-Blanc, so we recommend an early arrival to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (at least one day prior to the start) to make sure your body gets used to the altitude.
Be sure to also read through the clinic descriptions and the specific equipment requirements listed there. Please bring whatever gear you own that is relevant to the course and that you normally use. There will be some demo gear available to test, but we cannot guarantee sufficient availability.
Due to weather and local conditions all schedules are subject to change. If conditions don’t allow the clinic you have signed up for, we will work out an alternative plan with the guides.
